Step 1
Add a wardrobe
On Build, tap Add unit and pick Wardrobe. Type 1000 for the width and leave the height at 2100 and the depth at 600. On the Front step pick 2 doors: CabinetOS shows each door's size straight away, 1997 × 496. Tap Next through Inside, Build and Sides, then Add unit.

Step 2
Open the cut list
Tap Cutlist. Every part of the wardrobe is there with a code, its size, the board it's cut from and which edges get edge banding: 11 parts in all. The sides are 1964 mm long and the shelves 960 × 580. The line at the top adds it up: the boards you need and 18.78 m of edge banding.

- The totals: boards, how well they're used and the metres of edge banding.
- Each part has a code (1H is the doors). The same code is on the board layout.
- Edge banding: L1 and L2 are the long edges, W1 and W2 the short ones. Doors get all four.

Step 3
See it on boards
Tap Optimise. CabinetOS lays the parts out on 2440 × 1220 boards, allowing for each saw cut and a trim at the edges. This wardrobe comes to 5 boards. Tap a sheet at the top to see what's cut from it.

Step 4
Print it, or send it
Tap Exports in the menu, open the Cutlist tab, then the Export button. Print cutlist puts the 11 parts on paper with their sizes and edges. The Excel file is laid out for a cutting company, so they can cut and edge it for you. The bar above the cut list is Check before you cut: it looks over the job for things worth a second look, such as long shelves that may sag.

How CabinetOS worked it out
Nothing is guessed. Every size comes from the sizes you typed and a few fixed rules, the same for every wardrobe, in 18 mm board.
- Sides
The height, less the 100 mm plinth, less the top and bottom that sit over the sides.
2100 − 100 − 18 − 18 = 1964
- Doors
The box is the height less the plinth. Doors stop 3 mm short at the top; two doors share the width, 4 mm off each.
2100 − 100 − 3 = 19971000 ÷ 2 − 4 = 496
- Shelves
The width between the sides, 2 mm short at each side. The depth in front of the 18 mm back, 2 mm in from the front.
1000 − 18 − 18 − 2 − 2 = 960600 − 18 − 2 = 580
- Edge banding
On the front edge of the top, bottom, sides and shelves, and on all four edges of each door.
